Accessibility Information
The Canine Detective is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive culture for all stakeholders: clients, team members, collaborators, and partners alike. This is also put into practice when it comes to the company's dog training products and services. Dog knowledge, education, and support should be accessible for everyone.
Mission Statement
The Canine Detective was founded to support and celebrate each dog's uniqueness and how those differences show up in the training process. We believe that humans are at the heart of dog training. And that's the reason why our services are bespoke; the training approach needs to work for everyone involved. Our mission is to help improve people's lives and relationships with their dogs. Since every dog and every human (and therefore every dog-human relationship) is different, why would we take a 'one-size-fits-all' approach to dog training? With dogs becoming more popular companion animals than ever before, it's important that accessible and inclusive support is being offered to our growing society of dog lovers.
Policies & Practices
Trusting a professional with you and your dog's relationship is no easy feat. Comparable to shopping for a therapist, coach, personal trainer, or tutor, rapport is very important. If you do not know, like, and trust your private dog trainer it is unlikely that you will find the training process enjoyable or be able to make the progress you are hoping for. The Canine Detective aims to be as transparent and forthcoming as possible about its practices and values so that clients can make an informed decision when choosing their dog trainer.
Plain Text
To support e-reader software and visual needs, there is a plain text version of the website copy available at the bottom of every webpage.
Safe Space
Working with The Canine Detective means that you are actively participating in a digital space that advocates for inclusion and accessibility for all dog people, regardless of diversity, need, gender identity, sexuality, faith, or ethnicity.
Identities
When onboarding stakeholders, folks are asked for their preferred name, pronouns, and any accessibility accommodations that they would like us to incorporate when working with them.
Evolving
We are committed to updating our policies and practices to improve the user experience for all involved. That said, if something in the brand's ecosystem is not working well for your needs (whether that be the website, social media, or the offerings themselves), please reach out.
